What should I wear?
Girls and Guys:
- Bring a LOT of options – the more outfits we have to choose from, the better. This will make it easier to match clothing with backgrounds to get the total look you want.
- Group your outfits together on hangers – make sure they are ironed and ready to wear.
- Plan on changing FAST. The faster you change, the more camera time you’ll have.
- Make sure you’re comfortable in each outfit and that it flatters you – if not, it will show in your finished photo.
- Solid colors will always photograph better than busy patterns, stripes or plaids.
- Bring a variety of colors and styles – casual, dressy, not so dressy.
For Girls:
- If you’re self-conscious about your arms, avoid sleeveless or cap-sleeve shirts and tank tops – they tend to make arms look fuller.
- If you love dresses, bring them! – they will offer a nice variety from your other casual choices.
- Wear HEELS! Boots or pumps, dressy or casual, plain or sassy – heels really make you stand out and look glamorous! Flats will also work well with the right outfit. We may photograph you barefoot but not with flip-flops!
For Guys:
- Bring black and/or dark gray t-shirts to wear under other shirts. White t-shirts stick out and photograph poorly.
- Avoid t-shirts with large graphics and logos. They distract from the main subject, which is you.
- Bring a variety of casual and dressier shoes. Avoid gym shoes or flip-flops as these will appear too casual in your finished photo.
